Director, Private Equity (South Asia) - Dubai

Our client is a high profile Dubai-based international investment firm focusing on emerging market private equity investments. The firm’s emerging markets team is seeking a Director level investment professional with a strong fundamentals based approach to investing, to join their team. The successful candidate will have a solid combined minimum of 8-10 years experience within the private equity/ investment banking/ management consulting industry, including at least 2+ years at Director Level in a PE firm focused on India; or 2+ years at Engagement Manager level with a top tier in the PE practice of a top tier management consultancy or 2+ years at Director level with a US, UK, Singapore or HK-based investment advisory firm. Outstanding candidates with a strong ’buy-side’ mentality who are currently at Director level or above with a top tier i-bank may also be considered. Prior experience working with the Indian sub-continent combined with Indian cultural sensitivity/ffinity in addition to language skills (Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil) is also preferred. In addition to a strong professional pedigree, an outstanding academic track record is a prerequisite, with a strong preference for an undergraduate degree and MBA from top tier schools; Harvard, Wharton, University of Chicago GSB, LBS or LSE.
