Compliance and Finance Officer - Brussels

Our client an ambitious European private bank are in the process of setting up a strong financial structure in Brussels servicing savings and investment clients through the internet. The activities of the branch will be fully web based. For the new start-up branch our client is requiring a competent compliance and finance officer to provide a service within the different divisions of the bank such as finance, risk, HR, accountancy, customer services, sales and support functions. This demanding role will be to maintain a comprehensive and timely reporting for compliance and risk issues by following the standards required by the bank and the local regulatory bodies. Communicate guidelines to staff and management, provide risk analyses and mitigate risks. Planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial related activities of the branch. The ideal candidate will have a Masters degree in Law or Economics and a minimum of 8 years experience in a similar function. An excellent salary package is being offered for this new position.
