Many workers 'considering overseas move'

People in hedge fund jobs could be among those British workers being tempted by the prospects of better opportunities abroad as a way of escaping the current financial austerity measures.
According to research conducted by Aviva, over half of individuals (54 per cent) who responded to its survey said it is an option they are considering.
The state of the UK economy was cited as a major reason for this, with nine out of ten people believing the jobs market in the country has become worse in the last three years, while 45 per cent of Brits are hoping to move somewhere with a better climate.
Business lead for International PMI at Aviva Teresa Rogers said: "There are certainly pros and cons to moving and people need to plan carefully if they are considering making their dream a reality."
She added that healthcare is a primary concern for workers considering moving abroad and this is something it is vital people consider.
According to recent research from Canadian Life, there is currently a "values gap" between what employees expect from their bosses and the benefits firms are willing to provide.
