Nick Careless, Managing Director

Based in London, Nick Careless is responsible for AP Executive’s offices in London, Guernsey, Jersey, Geneva, Cyprus and Dubai. He has oversight of the UK market onshore and offshore, Europe, the Caribbean, the Americas, and the GCC and Asia-Pacific regions. Since graduating from Manchester University with a degree in modern languages, Nick’s career in both investment banking and executive recruitment has taken him to Hong Kong, London and New York. Nick has established strong client relationships globally and has extensive experience working with legal and financial professionals covering a range of senior international appointments in the wealth management.

George Georgiou, Director - Eastern Europe, Russia, China

Based in our Cyprus office, George Georgiou has more than ten years’ recruitment experience in London, Greece and Cyprus. Born and educated in London, George worked in the UK - first in the hospitality industry and then in recruitment – followed by two years in Greece, setting up and developing an Internet recruitment portal.
After moving to Cyprus with his family, he managed a local recruitment company in Limassol before joining AP Group, initially as manager with responsibility for recruiting locally and regionally for AP Executive in the commercial and finance markets.
Since his promotion to director in May 2007, George has been focusing on the expansion of AP Group into the emerging markets of Eastern Europe, Russia and China.

Chrissy Tasou, Manager - Cyprus

Based in our Cyprus office, Chrissy was born and educated in the UK before moving to Cyprus and then Saudi Arabia. Having spent three years in Saudi Arabia, she has been back in Cyprus for the last four years. Chrissy has over four years’ recruitment experience gained in several areas of recruitment and focuses within AP Executive in the areas of legal, trust, accounting & corporate services for the Cyprus market. Chrissy originally joined as a recruitment consultant before gaining promotion to manager in 2006.

Celine Trebouville BSc (Hons), Senior Executive Consultant - Jersey

Celine Trebouville moved from France to Jersey and has since gained experience in different areas of business, from tourism to marketing and advertising, finally joining AP Executive. Celine gained a degree in foreign languages applied to business and marketing from the University of Caen in Normandy. Since joining AP Executive, she has been dealing with Anglo-Saxon and Francophone firms in the Channel Islands, Switzerland, Monaco and the Caribbean, covering all senior recruitment for the finance and legal industry.

Els Ternest, Senior Executive Consultant - Jersey

Originally from Belgium, Els gained much of her seven years’ international recruitment experience at a large consultancy in the Netherlands, where she became a branch manager, before moving to Jersey in 2005. Holding a masters degree in sociology from the University of Amsterdam, Els also has experience in HR, gained during her time with a leading Jersey advisory services firm. Through a previous stint with AP Executive, she has experience in managing international executive-level recruitment mandates. As a senior consultant, Els oversees the UK offshore market and Benelux countries.

Kevin Crowley, Executive Consultant - Geneva

Kevin Crowley is based in the firm’s Geneva office, where he is responsible for the placement of qualified trust and banking professionals in the Swiss market. Kevin was born and educated in the United States, and worked for a number of years in the banking sector in New York City. In 1994, Kevin moved to Geneva, where he attained the STEP qualification, and has worked for two major bank trust companies.

Elise Meerpoel, Executive Consultant - Jersey

Elise moved to Jersey in 2002 from Haute Normandie, France. Prior to this, she attended the Lycee Andre Maurois in Deauville, where she gained a degree in tourism. On completion of her degree she specialised in the creation and marketing of corporate events for the global Accor Group in Paris. On moving to Jersey, Elise joined a local tour operator and was soon promoted to office manager, a position in which she was exposed to all aspects of sales and marketing. Elise specialises in senior recruitment for the finance industry in Jersey and Luxembourg.

Fabrice Drouin, Executive Consultant - London

Fabrice specialises in the placement of qualified professionals in the Asia/Asia-Pacific region. With a strong background in client relationship management and international sales, he manages the recruitment of financial and legal professionals in the high-growth Singapore market as well as in Hong Kong, New Zealand, Mauritius and other jurisdictions. Fabrice speaks fluent French and English and holds a degree in history and geography.

Claire Hopkinson, Executive Consultant - London

Claire-Louise was born and educated in Jersey, after which she completed a degree in media and communications. Claire’s past experience was in advertising sales before moving into the commercial sector of recruitment for AP Group in Jersey.  Claire has now relocated to London to focus on placing qualified professionals in the City and the Caribbean.

Emmanuel Aupérin, Executive Consultant - Geneva

Emmanuel was born in Rouen, France. He graduated in working psychology and human resources management and has been working in HR and recruitment in Paris for several years.
In mid-2007, Emmanuel moved to Switzerland in order to further his recruitment career. Splitting his time between Geneva and Zurich, he specialises in the recruitment of mid- to senior-level professionals in the finance industry.

Chris Archer, Executive Consultant - Guernsey

Born and educated in Guernsey, Chris was working as a foreign exchange dealer for a leading international bank when his potential as a recruiter was spotted by an AP Group consultant and he was invited to join the company. In a varied early career, he gained a GNVQ in engineering and then fulfilled a dream by moving to the USA and using his football coaching qualifications to work at professional soccer academies, before returning to Guernsey to work in the finance sector.

Merghani Salih, Executive Consultant – Dubai

Originally from Sudan, Merghani travelled extensively with his family in his youth around Africa and the Middle East before arriving in the UK to study at the University of Bath, where he gained a BSc (Hons) in Politics with Economics. He spent a valuable period in a sales and marketing environment at IMG, the sports, entertainment and media giant, before eventually moving into recruitment. Merghani brings his commercial experience, cosmopolitan upbringing and Arabic language skills to bear in dealing with appointments in the Alternative Investment and Islamic finance space in the GCC countries.

Harry Kyriacou, Executive Consultant - Cyprus

Harry was born and educated in Sydney, Australia. While studying, Harry developed and ran one of Australia’s major gaming websites, which is still growing today.   During his time at university, where he gained a BSc in business, majoring in HR management, he worked for a national recruitment firm, where he gained a wealth of recruitment experience within the pharmaceutical, construction and industrial sectors.  Harry joined our Cyprus office in late 2007 and is responsible for the recruitment of senior managers for construction and property development companies in Cyprus.

Ayman Kattan, Executive Consultant – Cyprus

Ayman was born in Jordan to British & Jordanian parents. On completion of an HR degree, which he gained in Cyprus, he returned to Jordan, where he began his career with a major telecoms company in Amman. Having held various positions within HR, he decided to return to Cyprus in order to combine his two passions: music and recruitment. Already an accomplished musician, Ayman has become a skilled recruiter since joining AP Executive in early 2008. His main areas of responsibility are the construction, real estate and telecommunications industries within the Middle East.

Mishja van der Linden, Executive Consultant - Cyprus

Mishja was born in Waalwijk, Holland and has been working and living in Cyprus for over ten years - firstly for an international airline and, following this, for various local companies in sales and business development. Mishja joined the Cyprus office of AP Executive in 2008 and recruits mid- to senior-level professionals for the banking, accounting and finance industries in Germany and the emerging Eastern European markets. Mishja speaks fluent Dutch, German and English and is currently learning Serbian: languages that are proving a great asset in their corresponding jurisdictions.
