AP Personnel expand in Cyprus
CHANNEL Island recruitment company AP Personnel has strengthened its presence in Cyprus.
Already recognised as the country’s leading international recruitment consultancy through its office in Limassol, the AP Group has now opened an office in the country’s capital city, Nicosia.
The new office is headed up by managing director Elvira Sips who brings with her a wealth of experience after a career with one of the leading global recruitment companies, Manpower.
Mrs Sips will be responsible for the four-strong team of consultants who will be dealing with clients and candidates across a broad base of business sectors including in the finance, commerce, IT, construction, hospitality, retail and manufacturing.
Located on the eighth floor of a prestigious new building in the centre of the city the Nicosia office offers the full range of the company’s services through AP Personnel, AP Executive and AP Courses.
Managing director and founder of the AP Group Gina Le Prevost saw opening an office in the capital city as the natural next step.
’With its close proximity to Cairo, Dubai and Bahrain, Cyprus is regarded by many as the gateway to the Middle East. Joining the European Union has placed the country firmly on the map as a credible, safe and respected centre of international commerce.
’Whereas the main industry in Limassol is shipping, Nicosia is widely viewed as the country’s finance centre, in fact one of the world’s leading international business centres. With more and more global companies setting up their business in Nicosia it seemed logical to establish an office there,’ she said.
As the Channel Islands largest recruitment agency AP Personnel have offices in Guernsey, Jersey and London as well as Cyprus.
