The Cayman Islands are situated around 480 miles south-east of Miami and have a population of around 55,000. Although the Cayman Islands, with their picture-postcard beautiful beaches, palm trees and world-class scuba diving are a popular tourist destination, their major source of income comes from offshore business. There are no taxes whatsoever on income or profits, capital, wealth or capital gains. Companies incorporated on the islands enjoy the same neutral tax status as individuals, regardless of nationality or ownership. Business and communications infrastructure is excellent. With a vibrant expatriate community and a social life geared towards the beach and sport in general, combined with a relatively relaxed business environment, conducting high quality work and a highly professional workforce, the Cayman Islands provide excellent work/life balance.
