Cosmopolitan cities and key financial centres: Executive Search USA & Canada - what's stopping you?

North America and Canada provide a great choice of financial centres and internationally important cities, such as New York, a world leading city for business. The global importance of the USA cannot be underestimated.

Miami is one of the USA's most important centres for finance and commerce, and it also has a large number of important biotechnology companies, research institutes and medical centres which also present excellent opportunities. It is a centre for global business and has a large international community.

Similarly Toronto is a major centre for business and finance, with the world's 7th largest stock exchange, and as it is generally considered Canada's capital it should be an option for any business planning global expansion. Canada fared comparatively well in the economic crisis, with their banks emerging stronger than any other country's in 2009, and their economy grew in 2010.

Panama's economy has experienced a boom in recent years and has a free trade agreement with the USA, leading to it becoming one of the fastest growing and best managed countries in Latin America. The economy is largely reliant on the service sector, and banking is a key part of this. Sandwiched between the Pacific Ocean and Caribbean and bordering Costa Rica, this is a beautiful place to live. The rainforests, climate and tropical wildlife mean that those who move to take advantage of the prospects within banking and finance jobs will be rewarded in other ways as well.

English is obviously the first language across North America and Canada, but in some Canadian areas French is also spoken. The official language of Panama is Spanish and while English is widely spoken, being able to converse in the local dialect will put you at an advantage. All the major cities have international communities so immigrants will find these cities exciting and full of opportunities. Canada is known for its quality of life and beautiful scenery, while Miami was ranked America's cleanest city in 2008 and has a great arts scene.

Visas:

Skilled workers can generally gain entry visas to USA or Canada if their skills or business experience are needed. Professional services, insurance and successful senior executives for example can gain entry with relative ease, particularly to Canada. For the USA, visas exist which allow companies to hire and sponsor foreign workers, or which allow talented and experienced individuals to move to the USA. For Panama, requirements differ between countries and can are subject to change.

Anyone wanting to relocate to North America, Panama or Canada should seek advice our consultants about entry requirements and visas.
