An international and highly dynamic Bank is looking to hire a Chief Operating Officer to play a key role in the continued commercial success of the group. The bank has a strong track record and is well established with a 50+ year history of servicing both corporate and private clients. The bank is very entrepreneurial and boasts a range of unique products to make the client experience much more streamlined and efficient than usual. The bank has truly embraced modern technology, and is a driving force in offering crypto currency trading services in a fully regulated environment.
The responsibilities can be split into three categories
Day to day
The COO will ensure the smooth and efficient running of the whole business, leading a large team across every department of the bank. You will be expected to provide leadership, a clear strategy, and continued development to each member of your team. A key element of the bank's previous success has been the innovative approach they have taken to new challenges, and you will foster and develop a trusting atmosphere where team members can contribute openly.
Digital & process enhancement
The bank has a strong belief in the speed and efficiency of all processes, and aims to onboard all clients in a very time effective manner (including all AML/KYC etc.). Customer service is at the heart of everything they do, and the onboarding process is an important first impression to showcase the bank's capabilities. The bank also has an international presence with some employees being based remotely alongside an international client base, and so global 24/7 access to all systems is a key factor to the successful running of the operations.
CEO support
The COO is effectively the right hand to an engaging and high-performing CEO and you will be expected to provide first-class support and guidance to them. You will work closely to ensure the whole organisation is aligned in its short/long-term strategies for commercial success, organisational efficiency, and strategic planning. The successful applicant will be able to translate all of the strategies and plans into tangible outcomes in a scalable and sustainable manner.
The successful applicant will have a strong track record of success in an international banking environment in both a Private and Corporate/Institutional setting. You will have excellent knowledge of all aspects of banking including processes, compliance and commercial. Most important to be a success in this role in a dynamic and entrepreneurial approach; this is a highly collaborative environment and so excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with colleagues across the business is also vital.
