Our client is the industry leader in supplying gas and energy services to the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. A rare opportunity has become available for a project accountant to be based in Guernsey.
Reporting directly to the financial controller, the role-holder will be, amongst a varied work load, responsible for budgeting, forecasting and providing timely and accurate accounts reporting to the board. Dealing with project managers in a variety of the company sectors, you will also be part of the decision-making process with regard the financial aspects of these projects and to deliver on time and within budget.
Applicants should have recognised accounting qualification such as ACA/ACCA/CIMA. Although knowledge of the industry would be desirable, more emphasis will be on the ability to maintain and expand good and effective working relations with staff, customers and third-party stakeholders.
Travel between the Islands will be necessary.
Preferable the role holder will already be based in Guernsey, but applicants are also invited from the Isle of Man.
