Our client is an award-winning law firm with a growing presence in the Channel Islands and Caribbean. We are currently searching for a senior lawyer to join their funds, corporate and finance team in Grand Cayman.
You can expect a varied workload which must be managed with minimal Partner supervision. Expertise in providing legal advice to a client base involving investment funds, corporate, financing, insurance and re-insurance. The team has a growing reputation for providing technical expertise in a prompt manner with tailor-made solutions.
Although most assignments initially will be partner- orientated, you will soon be expected to become a business developer for the brand name in the region and beyond. Supporting new ventures and identify cross selling opportunities in the promotion and development of the business.
Applicants should have at least 6 years PQE with a UK/Commonwealth qualification. 4 years plus relevant experience in Cayman Islands law is also desirable.
Self- motivation and the desire to succeed in a multi- faceted environment is essential as well as being a team player with excellent communication skills with colleagues and clients in many jurisdictions.
The Company also invites candidates with relevant experience and a desire to work in the Channel Islands and their relative legal requirements in these financial sectors
