Steve Kail works as part of the AP Executive team based in Guernsey office. He joined AP Executive in June 2021, bringing a wealth of experience to recruitment services in Guernsey and Jersey, with a focus on Wealth Management. Originally from England, Steve has spent the majority of his professional life domiciled and working in Guernsey.
He received his primary education at St Saviours School in Guernsey, progressing to Elizabeth College for secondary education leaving in 1978 with A Levels in maths, economics and geography. After initial years in banking, particularly the treasury arena, he moved into money broking and was involved for many years in the inter-bank financial markets. In 1984 he was a founding member of Channel Islands Money Brokers (CIMBL), a well-known money broker in the Channel Islands for several years, ultimately becoming sole owner in 2000. The business was sold in 2010 and he became a consultant for an international money broker as their representative in Guernsey until 2021.
Steve has travelled the globe extensively and is fluent in English with sufficiency in French and Spanish.
Steve covers all finance and commercial senior roles and is working with clients and candidates in Guernsey and Jersey.
Beyond the professional field, Steve is a sports enthusiast. Although he once participated in rugby, he now actively engages in cricket, golf and bowls. Steve played a pivotal role in establishing the Guernsey Rovers Minis football section, also taking on coaching responsibilities community. He is now a qualified cricket umpire and treasurer of his cricket club for which he turns out occasionally and remains an active participant and administrator in the sporting community.
