Our client, a leading, independent trust company is looking for a manager to join its Private Clients team, based in Jersey.
Your primary contacts will be the Directors, Associate Directors, the wider Private Client team, Accounting team and Compliance team and you will lead and oversee the day-to-day administrative activity of the team driving a client focussed, compliant and commercial approach embedding the Group’s vision, mission, strategic goals and culture working closely with the Associate Director and Head of Private Clients.
You will undertake some relationship management of a primarily complex client casebook ensuring that client expectations are understood and met and that service levels are consistently high across the team. You will work with minimal supervision with referral usually for discretion purposes only or appropriate escalation.
You will lead and manage the team and provide technical support, guidance, feedback and effective coaching to more junior members of the team. Support the team to meet KPI targets and Risk Indicator targets measuring team performance, delegating responsibilities where appropriate and managing the team by providing advice, guidance and motivation to drive individual and collective team performance.
You will have a strong understanding of legislation, the regulatory framework and a good working comprehension of tax matters impacting the business, its client entities and structures helping to ensure that the business operates compliantly. You will also represent the team on the New Business Management and Governance Risk and Compliance Committees as required.
You will hold ICSA or STEP Diploma, ACCA or similar with strong experience of 6 – 8 years of relevant experience gained in a similar environment.
