A global investment management firm is looking to hire a Market Account Specialist for its Luxembourg office. The role is a full-time contract position for a duration of 1.5 years (18 months) The position focuses on supporting fund operations and asset management processes within an international environment. Proficiency in English is mandatory, while knowledge of German or French is considered an asset.
The specialist will be responsible for managing various operational tasks across the fund lifecycle, including custody market account openings, fund migrations, and asset transfers across multiple European markets. The role also involves establishing and maintaining new processes with service providers, as well as supporting mergers, liquidations, and foreign exchange setups for passive FX and hedging activities.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in asset management operations and a strong understanding of fund lifecycle events, particularly within the UCITS framework and cross-border contexts. In-depth knowledge of fund accounting principles, Net Asset Value (NAV) components, and the dependencies between front, middle, and back-office functions is essential.
The position requires someone with excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and practical knowledge of custody and asset transfer procedures. Experience working with asset universes across major European markets, including the UK, France, Germany, Luxembourg, and Italy, will be highly valued.
