Our client is a large construction business based in Cyprus. On their behalf we are looking for an experience project manager to cover multiple construction sites in both Larnaca and Paphos. The position is open exclusively to EU citizens and is a full time two year contract role. The job requires adherence to European safety protocols, flexible working hours according to project milestones, and strict compliance with both EU and local Cypriot standards. The MEP Project Manager role will oversee all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction activities across the project. Responsibilities include coordinating MEP systems, monitoring progress, and ensuring appropriate budget allocation for both sites.

Requires supervising construction teams and European subcontractors, leading stakeholder progress meetings, and managing the permitting process in coordination with Cyprus Official Departments. You will also facilitate communication between international and local teams. You will implement quality control procedures, carry out site inspections, and conduct technical reviews to ensure regulatory compliance. The role also includes managing testing and commissioning processes for critical systems and preparing detailed progress documentation aligned with EU regulatory requirements.

Key duties include monitoring expenses against the established budget, optimizing resource allocation across both sites, negotiating with European suppliers and subcontractors, and preparing financial reports for management review.

A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is required. Suitable applicants should have at least 10 years of construction project management experience, with airport or aviation infrastructure experience considered a strong advantage. A proven track record of delivering large-scale construction projects is essential.Preferred qualifications include PMP or PRINCE2 certification. Proficiency in MS Project and Primavera P6 is required, along with strong knowledge of MEP systems relevant to aviation facilities. Familiarity with European building codes and EASA standards is also expected.

Excellent English communication skills are mandatory. Greek language knowledge is beneficial but not essential.  Strong presentation abilities and be comfortable interacting with diverse stakeholders. Cultural adaptability is essential for working in a European, international environment.

Applicants should demonstrate experience leading multicultural teams and managing European subcontractors and suppliers. Excellent problem-solving skills under pressure and a solid record of complying with EU safety standards are required.

The role requires an EU passport, full commitment to the two-year assignment, and the ability to adapt to Mediterranean working conditions. A valid EU driving licence is preferred.
