A start-up wholesale bank in Bahrain with a “digital first” approach is looking for a chief technology officer to be responsible for defining, building, and maintaining the end-to-end technology stack for the bank. As a key member of the executive team, the CTO will oversee the architecture, development, integration, and resilience of all systems, platforms, and infrastructure supporting the bank’s operations.
Lead the implementation of a modular, cloud-native, API-first platform that supports the bank’s digital-first and AI first ambitions. The CTO will also oversee vendor selection, cybersecurity, DevOps, data architecture, and ensure the seamless integration of internal systems and external fintech partnerships. This role is mission-critical in ensuring the Bank’s core product delivery — spanning multi-currencies. transactional banking, collateralised lending, and digital asset-linked custody and treasury services — is secure, scalable, and regulatory-compliant from day one.
To be considered for this position, you will have 12 to 15 years of experience in financial technology, systems architecture, or digital banking, including experience leading build-outs in regulated environments; experience with Mambu ecosystem is desirable.
A proven track record in designing and implementing scalable cloud-native platforms in banking, fintech, or financial infrastructure settings, plus experience working with cross-border payments, core banking, custody, or digital asset infrastructure are highly desirable.
