AP Executive are working with a fast-growing start-up to hire a multi-functional professional who will combine responsibilities of Company Secretary, HR, and Admin. The company is an ambitious Fintech that has a dynamic and high-profile C-Suite, and has a strong financial backing to pursue a successful high-growth agenda. This role is critical to ensuring a robust corporate governance, regulatory compliance, employee support and office management. The individual will act as a trusted adviser to the Board, management and all employees and be a key part of the long term success of the business going forwards.
Key Responsibilities
Company Secretarial & Governance
- Organize and manage Board and Committee meetings, including scheduling, agendas, meeting packs, and accurate minutes.
- Track resolutions, action items, and ensure timely follow-up.
- Maintain statutory registers (directors, shareholders, UBO, share transfers, etc.) across all entities.
- Ensure timely filings with regulators (VARA, CBB, DMCC, ADGM or other authorities).
Human Resources
- Lead end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and manpower planning.
- Draft and maintain employment contracts, consultancy agreements, referral agreements, and HR registers.
- Manage attendance, leave, and employee files in line with labour laws and company policy.
- Coordinate payroll with Finance, ensuring compliance with WPS and other jurisdictional requirements.
- Oversee benefits administration (medical insurance, allowances, flights, bonuses, etc.) and conduct periodic benchmarking.
- Act as primary point of contact for employee queries, grievances, and relations.
- Draft, update, and implement HR policies; ensure compliance with UAE and Bahrain labour laws.
Administration
- Oversee general office administration.
- Manage travel bookings, visas, and employee expense claims.
- Provide administrative assistance to management, including scheduling, agendas, and logistics for meetings.
To be considered for this position it is thought you will have a degree in HR/Business or a related subject, and you will have 5+ years of experience in a dual Company Sec/HR capacity ideally in a Fintech, FS, or other regulated envioronments. You will have a strong knowledge of coproate governance, company law, and labour frameworks in Bahrain, UAE, and other international jurisdictions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- 5–7 years of experience in a dual Company Secretary and HR/Admin capacity, preferably in financial services, fintech, or other regulated environments.
