AP Executive are supporting dynamic commodities trading company based in Hong Kong, dedicated to excellence in global trade and finance. We are seeking a talented and motivated qualified accountant to lead the transformation of the accounting function.

Job Description:

In this role you will be responsible for establishing and managing the entire accounting function, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and streamlining financial operations. You will play a key role in bringing our accounting processes internally, creating a robust and efficient financial system. You wilk work closely with the senior management team to ensure all statutory and regulatory reports are completed in a timeline and accurate manner, whilst implementing accounting software at the same time

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and oversee the full spectrum of accounting processes in Hong Kong.
Ensure compliance with Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards and local regulations.
Implement effective internal controls and financial procedures.
Prepare financial statements, management reports, and tax filings.
Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory authorities.
Provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
The role would also include some finance & treasury related tasks - such as assisting with cash flow & risk management, financial analysis.. supporting director/trader to operate the business.

Requirements:

Qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
Proven experience in setting up and managing accounting functions within a commodities or trading firm.
Strong knowledge of Hong Kong tax laws and accounting standards.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of relevant accounting software is preferred.
