An international bank with a long-standing presence in Guernsey are seeking to appoint a financial crime compliance specialist to join their team of experienced compliance professionals.
Your main responsibility will be to carry out second line of defence reviews and related investigative work in addition to assisting the MLRO with many interesting assignments.
Candidates will be responsible for assessing regulatory requirements for anti -money laundering (AML) and anti-fraud prevention and detection, transactions monitoring, surveillance against sanctions and negative news media as well as preparation of key periodic metrics for a variety of partners.
You will also assist in ensuring the financial crime compliance programme is applied to the local entity. To roll-out and execute AML specific initiatives and provide consistent financial crime compliance advice to the local business whilst maintaining knowledge of local regulations and changes. You will assist with the building and delivery of our training programme for compliance, AML and countering the financing of terrorism and updating policies and procedures.
Candidates will be a good fit having an education to degree level or equivalent, at least 5 years of relevant working experience in compliance, audit or a similar function acquired in the finance industry, an ICA diploma in AML and/or Financial Crime Prevention or be working towards a diploma. Good up-to-date knowledge of the GFSC handbook for Financial Services Businesses on Countering Financial Crime and Terrorist Financing will be expected
