On behalf of a well established family holding group based in Qatar, we are looking for an internal auditor to be responsible for independently executing internal audits in line with the approved annual internal audit plan. This includes developing audit scope, performing audit procedures, documenting results, and preparing internal audit reports covering financial, operational, and IT processes across multiple business units. The role also includes following up on outstanding audit issues to ensure timely resolution.
The position plays a key role in assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management frameworks, and corporate governance practices, while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards. The internal auditor supports the Head of Internal Audit with periodic reporting to the Audit Committee and contributes to the development of the annual internal audit plan, while actively promoting strong internal control and governance practices across the organization.
The role requires close collaboration with stakeholders, the ability to understand and document business processes accurately, and the capability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and complex environment. The role may also guide junior team members, conduct risk assessments across the group, and stay current with best practices in internal audit, governance, and risk management.
The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of internal audit experience, preferably with a Big4 firm and exposure to diversified business groups, ideally within the GCC. A professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, ACA or CPA is required, while additional certifications including CIA, CISA, or CFE are considered an advantage. The role requires strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to travel domestically and internationally.
