Our client is one of Guernsey's leading legal practices who strive for excellence in all aspects of their personal and corporate offerings. They are currently seeking a senior associate to be an integral part of their growing dispute resolution team
Applicants should have a minimum 6 years PQE in a legal or financial services environment. Technically adept at researching independently with a good understanding of legal requirements. A thorough understanding and the ability to convey legal argument to both clients, colleagues and senior partners in a persuasive manner.
The ability to draft complex cases clearly and accurately, plan for all eventualities and assess liability are important aspects of the role. You should be confident in leading negotiations with clients and be able to communicate subsequent actions required.
Applicants should have good commercial awareness and able to make judgements on complex solutions without partner input.
Knowledge should be able to be shared with colleagues and clients as will the desire to instigate a culture of continuous learning with junior members of the company.
Ideally the applicant will be a Guernsey qualified and based Advocate. Applicants from outside of the Channel Islands will be considered if they have proven prior experience in this jurisdiction or have a UK gained degree and practice experience.
