AP Executive are seeking an experienced Staff Writer who will report directly to a high performing Editor-in-Chief of a fast-growing digital news platform. In this start-up business you will work as a tight knit team to provide high quality content focused on the crypto/digital asset/finance sector. The platform has ambitious plans and is very well funded, and already boasts a highly experienced senior leadership team.
In this role you will produce fresh, innovative content around cryptocurrency market and technology developments, including coverage of various industry events and breaking crypto news, incorporating a variety of perspectives, including insights from a macroeconomic lens when relevant. Working alongside analysts and editors, you will generate news articles (in English) about the latest events and ongoing trends in the market, as well as broader economic implications. You will usually deliver multiple articles per day, blending short news briefs with in-depth features that broaden readers’ understanding of the crypto universe and its global context.
To be considered for this position you will have a proven track record in writing engaging content on crypto, financial markets, or macroeconomic topics. You will have the scope to explore unique angles on the crypto markets, focusing on broader market connections in close collaboration with the wider team. You will have a strong academic track record (degree in journalism/economics etc.) and have a strong portfolio of work from within a dynamic newsroom setting. You will naturally have excellent writing skills alongside familiarity with SEO best practices,.
