A unique position is being created by our client for a legal aide working for a private office who are growing their base in Guernsey.
Working mainly with the corporate secretarial executive the successful candidate will perform initial background research, as well as briefing staff, drafting indemnities, statements, instruments of variation or other documentation as required, whilst undertaking reviews of policies and procedures and suggestions for updates. Collating details of beneficiaries and related parties and arranging Apostille documents .
This is a multi-faceted role working with small team in Guernsey. General administrative tasks will be as required, undertaking legal research in relation to ongoing matters, attend meetings and take accurate notes.
Strong organisational skills will be essential , as will transcribing and proofreading complex legal documents. Excellent communication skills will also be required as you will be developing and maintaining professional working relationships with lawyers other professionals as required. Maintaining client confidentiality and privacy is essential.
Whilst we will consider a full-time candidate, we would also be agreeable to someone experienced (previous paralegal / legal support or junior lawyer experience) looking for a flexible role, either on a reduced hours or reduced days basis.
