Our client is a global financial services provider head-quartered in the Channel Islands. On their behalf we are looking for a legal manager for their central services team. This role can be based in Guernsey or Jersey.
This is a multi-faceted role supporting the in -house legal counsel function for the group. Advice will be required on company law, trust law, commercial contracts, employment law, regulatory compliance . It will also need someone with experience in company secretarial matters.
Applicants should have a good knowledge of legal and tax practices for the Channel Islands and the UK. A good understanding of the regulatory environment will be expected particularly for an offshore environment.
A law degree or equivalent legal qualification will be essential. Ideally a minimum of three years PQE within a financial services company.
Initially this role is being advertised as a nine month contract but it could lead to a permanent position in time.
